After Black

Faceless, nameless, full of life and light
They say they wouldn't want to live there
We can't wait to die here
Mothers and fathers to sons and daughters, teachers, preachers, cops and jocks
At our best when the rest set their bar at the norm
The snow freezes our steps, the leaves hold the joy of the youth
We can't pretend because we're too pure
Our drive is greater than any others
With steam from means
Nothing to a lot of people,
But everything to some.
